I have tried to show in three stages how to use an air compressor properly. If you read them thoroughly and follow them you can definitely use an air compressor without any difficulty.

Stage 1: Set up your air compressor
Step 01: Check the pump oil:
Almost every air compressor needs pump oil for a smooth operation. Your one may need oil also.
How much oil need depends on the size of your air compressor. Whatever the size is, check the measurement stick on a side below.
Look whether the stick is wet up to 2/3, if yes, your pump is ready to go. Otherwise, refill the pump oil.
Step 02: Engage the hose to the valve:
Attach the hose to the valve. You will find it next to the pressure gauge.
The valve is metal colored with a big whole. You have to put the hose to the end of the valve so that no air can blow out.
Step 03: Attach the power tool:
Take the power tool in one hand the hose to another.
Slide the tool’s plug to the other side of the hose that is free.
Twist them together until they attach properly.
Make sure that the two plugs are in the proper place so that you can use it smoothly without any worries.
Step 04: Plugin with electricity board:
Plug in the power cable to the electric board. Be sure that the compressor is switched off.
Do not use extension cords if the hose cannot reach your targeted area. Try to add more hose to extend the reach.
See the whole of the hose and look at them carefully. One side is a receiver. Just slide the plug into that receiving side.
Stage 2: Conducting Air Compressor:
Step 01: Put on your safety measures:
As you are going to operate a machine with different tools, you must take all the safety measures.
Wear poly-carbonate goggles and shoes or boots to protect your eyes and feet. Any tool may fall on your foot that’s why you should have a good preparation.
Don’t forget to wear earmuffs. Some air compressor makes to noise to work.
Step 02: Test the valve for the first time:
Find the valve plug near the hose line (copper-colored). You can see a ring on the compressor engaged with the hose line.
Just pull it towards you. You can hear an air hiss. That proves that you didn’t engage the valve and hose line properly.
Now push back the plug in the same position before starting the air compressor. Fix the connection.
Step 03: Switch on the compressor:
Turn on the electrical switch on the board that is connected with the air compressor. You can see a buzz that the air compressor is making noise vibrating.
Look at the gauge on the one side of the air compressor. Wait for the maximum air pressure. When the air pressure is full, the gauge needle will stop moving.
On the other hand, the smaller gauge on the hose line should be in the same position as before. It will measure the air pressure when you pass air through the hose line.
Step 04: Check the air pressure for your tool:
This is a serious step. You have to read the instruction written on the tool guide.
You can see how much PSI the tool can handle. The PSI level varies with different tools. Try to keep 10 to 15 PSI lower than the exact PSI written on the guide.
If the tool does not get enough air pressure, it may not work properly. Extreme air pressure may damage the tool as well as the task.
Step 05: Adjust the air pressure:
After reading the PSI level needed for the tool, you have to adjust the air pressure level. Look at the knob near the hose line.
Turn it clockwise to flow air thought the line. Check the gauge on the hose and adjust how much air pressure you need to use the tool.
You can stop blowing air by turning the knob anticlockwise.
Step 06: Now it’s time to work:
You’re ready to go. Operate the tool where necessary. The compressor will refill the tank automatically.
You need not check the air pressure again. If you experience any inconvenience, check the smaller gauge at the hose line.
If the air pressure is okay here, look for the main gauge at the compressor machine. You may need time if your compressor tank size is small. Wait and work.
Stage 3: Turn off and checking:
Step 01: Free the air tank:
After finishing your desired work, shut the air compressor following the instruction to ensure safety.
Look for the air valve under the air pressure. Twist the valve to free it so that the compressed air can blow out with stored moisture into the tank.
You can twist it by your hand simply. Replace the valve in the same place.
Step 02: Switch off the compressor:
Now go for the hose line. Turn off the hose valve passing air thought the line.
You can see the knob just turn it anticlockwise to stop passing air. Switch off the air compressor from the electric board. Wait until the tank is free.
You should not hear any air blowing sound when it is pressure-free. To make it fast, pull the pressure realize valve from the compressor machine.
Step 03: Store the air compressor:
Separate all the parts you have engaged at the beginning. Plug off the electric cord from the board.
Put off the hose line from the air compressor valve. Divide the power tool from the hose line. Be sure that the air compressor is cool to move. Otherwise, wait for few minutes to cool down it.
Remember: You have to remember that you must change the oil every year. Although it depends on your uses, regular checking may secure good longevity.
Store the air compressor in a dry non-wet place.
